my PHILOSOPHY
I know that acting can be both scary and exhilerating. It requires courage and hard work, but the experience is also very rewarding. I provide a supportive, yet challenging environment to learn and become your best instrument.
Acting is a gift. While acting you take on all types of personalities, situations, relationships and styles of expression. Your goal is to transport your audience into the world the playwright imagined. How great is that? I strive to help each actor find their path toward this end.Â
I think this process is different for everyone and I will listen closely to you and embrace your own unique gifts to help you develop your toolbox of acting skills and techniques.
My group classes, workshops and coaching provide a safe space for actors to take risks, stretch and grow.

Your Acting Adventure
Ways to Study
Private Coaching
Private lessons provide the opportunity to work on specific projects or dig into acting challenges you face. Because we are one-on-one, we can focus on any areas you request or I would be happy to set up a curriculum tailored just for you. The flexibility of personal coaching allows us to explore new ideas and techniques in real time.
Group Classes
I currently offer group classes through the Whetstone Community Center Wednesdays from 6:30-8:30. I teach three sessions per school year for ages 17 to adult. Group classes through the City of Columbus Recreation Dept. allow me to provide you with a highly affordable way to learn and grow as an actor. Classes involve a variety of exercises, monologue work and scene study. Click below for more details on dates and pricing.
Workshops are an immersive way for us to look at singular aspects of acting. I love the opportunity to explore these topics with each participant to stretch specific skills and experience targeted breakthroughs. Each workshop participant also receives a free one-on-one coaching as a follow-up to the session.
